A Malaysian Boeing 777 airliner carrying 239 people has
lost contact with traffic controllers raising fears that the aircraft might
have plunged into the pacific ocean.
The aircraft with 227 passenger and 12 crew members left
Kuala Lumpur for Beijing 12: 11 am on Friday and had been expected to arrive
China at 6:30 am. However, air traffic controllers said they lost contact with
the airliner around 2 : 40 am some 2 hours into the flight.
